Flying Fish — A Journey of Craft, Connection and Power

Flying Fish was born at a deeply personal turning point—two months before my first child was born. I’d spent years immersed in India’s rich jewelry traditions as a NIFT graduate and designer at Amrapali in Jaipur, building relationships with master craftsmen whose artistry left a lasting impact on me.

When I quit my job to prepare for motherhood, I found myself facing six uncertain, transformative months. That space gave me the courage to finally do what I had always dreamed of: create a brand where craft wasn’t a trend, but the foundation.

I saw a market overflowing with mass-produced jewelry—designs that looked the same, lacked soul, and often exploited the very artisans behind them. Flying Fish is my answer to that. A brand that puts craft at the center, honors heritage, and challenges what silver can be.

A new way to wear Jewelry

At Flying Fish, each piece begins in the hands of skilled artisans in Jaipur - shaped with patience, intention, and reverence. But the story doesn’t end there.

Our jewelry is designed to be a companion. It’s not here to define you, but to reflect you. It holds space for your memories, your rituals, your movement. These are pieces that are meant to age with you, grow with you, and become part of your daily rhythm.

The flying fish itself symbolizes breaking the norms - gliding between air and water, never fully confined. That’s the spirit of our jewelry too: a balance of old and new, form and feeling, maker and wearer.

What we stand for

  • Craft at the Core: We work directly with artisan families, paying fair wages and preserving generational skills.

  • Design with Depth: Each piece is a thoughtful exploration of what metal can do - crafted slowly and not churned out.

  • Values You Can Wear: Sustainability, heritage, individuality. When you wear Flying Fish, your values shine through.

We’re building a community that believes in slow fashion and soulful design. A movement of design-conscious people who understand that true beauty is crafted and not manufactured.

As above, so below.
The integrity you hold inside should be mirrored in what you wear.

Join us in honoring the hands that craft, the stories that last, and the power of jewelry made with care.

Why the name Flying Fish?

I'm a true Lucknow-ite at heart. I grew up surrounded by the symbol of the Mahi Maratib - the regal twin fish that graces gateways and emblems across my city. To me, the fish has always meant home. As a Piscean, the connection only deepened. The twin fish followed me through childhood as a symbol of self, intuition and flow.

Then I married a Bengali - where once again, the fish showed up, revered and celebrated in culture, tradition and ritual. It became clear the fish was more than just a symbol. It was a thread - connecting my past with my identity and my journey.

So when it came time to name my brand, the fish was inevitable.
But what kind of fish? Not just any.

The Flying Fish—that’s the one.
The one that swims and soars. That defies logic and leans into magic.
It carries both grace and rebellion. It’s grounded in water, but dreams of air.

That’s the spirit I build into every piece of jewellery: Craft for the soul, tradition with a twist of curiosity, and always an element of wonder.

Yes, the Flying Fish felt right.
Because I’ve always believed—why be one thing, when you can be limitless?
